Music has always been a large part of our lives. In fact, we met in our high school band program in 1991. My section leader, Paul Ross, dragged me to church camp the summer after my freshman year and I gave my life to Christ that week. If I hadn't played the Trombone, I wouldn't have met Paul and he wouldn't have taken me to camp... and I doubt that Michele and I would have ended up together. Music is such an instrumental part of our lives, that even our walk with Christ is centered on it.

My Testimony

Over the years, we've been part of the music programs at Garden Oaks Baptist Church, New River Baptist Church, Rittenhouse Baptist Church, and Spring Baptist Church.

In 2001, I founded the Gulf Coast Sound Drum & Bugle Corps. The Corps wasn't overtly intended as a mission project, but as far as I'm concerned it was MY mission. Michele and I devoted a decade of our lives to making the Corps work. In 2012 the group went inactive but was replaced in 2015 by the return Bayou City Blues Drum & Bugle Corps.

In addition to BCB/GCS, we're members of the Spring Baptist Church Orchestra. It's a real joy to play with such a great group of friends and musicians while serving in our church ministry.
